Modern Times

Synopsis

A projected image of a home entertainment system appears on minimalist cardboard forms. The projection features Modern Times, shown on a simulated television set alongside speakers, piles of VHS cassettes and a player. Every forty seconds, the image shifts to a blue “no signal” screen, briefly revealing the plain cardboard beneath. Installed on the floor, the work invites viewers to move around and explore it from multiple angles.
