Potter's Will
Single channel HD video, 10 minutes, 2015
An imaginary narrative on the creation of a clay pot. Hands of the potter Paul Chaleff shape a pile of clay against its will. In this hypothetical environment, gravity has been inverted: the room spins, while the pottery wheel remains immobile. The dizzying speed throws the viewer inside the pot and to the kiln. The pot has now turned into a human covered in wet clay from head-to-toe.
A source of fire threatens to immobilize his clay body.
